At the Pontifical Lateran University, you’ll meet young people and professors from all over the world. Among the 4,000 enrolled at our Rome campus, there are students from 105 different countries, and our professors come from 20 different countries. Throughout the world, there are 41 institutes connected to our University.

Born in the heart of the Church and located in the center of Rome, with both saints and popes among its distinguished alumni, the Pontifical Lateran University, with more than two centuries of tradition, stands today as a leader on the frontier of formation and scientific research.
The four Faculties and two Institutes of the Lateran offer both basic and specialized formation, enriched and completed by graduate degree programs in various specializations.
Both the teaching faculty and the student body come from all over the world, providing an international dimension that reflects the universal mission of the Church and ensures personal and pastoral growth and greater cultural awareness.

The purpose of the Foundation is the promotion and support of the Pontifical Lateran University and of those institutions connected to it. It supports the various activities and initiatives of the University through scholarships, grants, and financial support, all in favor of providing many opportunities for study and research. Founded in 1996 through the initiative of students, alumni, faculty and former faculty, staff, and friends of the Pontifical Lateran University and its related institutes.
