The library holdings are kept both in the six levels of the modern Reading Room (abreviated SL for Sala Lettura), and in the depository (abrieviated DP). The assets kept in the stacks accessible to library users belong to these collections:

  • SL “General Consultation” and other classifications are found on the 2nd level
  • SL “Philosophy and History” are found on levels 3 and 4 of the library
  • SL “Religion” are found on levels 4 and 5
  • SL “Canon Law” on levels 5 and 6
  • SL “Social Sciences and Law” also on level 6
  • SL Bound journals and periodicals on level 7

To find a book’s collocation, open the search engine Osee Genius. The location of the document (either SL or DP), complete with a field (SL Philosophy and History, SL Religion, etc.) will indicate where to find the book.

You can also access a description of the library levels, sections and collections of the room with an indication on the shelves:
