The Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, governed by a board of five members, and has a public juridical personality according to canon law. Its funds are increased by contributions, donations, bequests upon death, and various contributions from both private and juridic persons.
The purpose of the Foundation is the promotion and support of the Pontifical Lateran University and of those institutions connected to it. It supports the various activities and initiatives of the University through scholarships, grants, and financial support, all in favor of providing many opportunities for study and research.
